Actress, singer-songwriter, and star of the STARZ #1 Television Series Power, Naturi Naughton attended the Lawnside Education Foundation, Inc. 7th Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at The Merion in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

“We are grateful to have Ms. Naughton join us and support the mission of the foundation.” says Dr. Sandra Strothers, president of the foundation. “It is an honor to have Ms. Naughton support our efforts that will benefit Lawnside students and school staff.” Superintendent of the Lawnside School District, Dr. Ronn Johnson, said “The students, staff, and parents are humbled by Ms. Naughton's willingness to take time out of her busy schedule to share with supporters of the Lawnside School District. “

Naughton received the Lawnside Education Foundation, Inc. Platinum Friend Award. Her attendance assisted the foundation in its goal of bringing additional resources to the school district.

Lawnside Education Foundation, Inc. is an independent non-profit community-based organization created to enhance and support students in the Lawnside School District. LEF, Inc. seeks to support academic goals in the district by raising funds via donations from individuals, community organizations, and companies.

The organization began its teacher instructional grant program this past year, and donates funds in the following areas: endowment fund, technology, media center, music and arts programs, summer reading for students, and annual co-curricular activities. The foundation has donated over $55,000 to the district since its founding in 2009. During the LEF event, awards were given to local community leaders and corporate donors.
