Mount Laurel, New Jersey – The newest entrance to Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) has been named 3plus1 Drive in recognition of the college’s popular path to one of the most affordable bachelor’s degrees in the nation.
“3+1 is driving Rowan College at Burlington County and our students forward into the future. Now, 3plus1 Drive is driving us onto the campus of the rapidly growing top-ranked community college in New Jersey,” RCBC President Paul Drayton said. “Everyone who drives on campus will be reminded that we are the only college in our region with a 3+1 program that is making college affordable and allowing students to graduate without high debt.”
As part of the Mount Laurel Campus transformation, the college moved its Briggs Road entrance from Technology Way to 3plus1 Drive, located between the new Health Sciences Center and Evans Hall. The Board of Trustees approved the naming of 3plus1 Drive at its June 20 board meeting.
The new entranceway off Briggs Road aims to tie together the campus and help improve traffic flow to the campus.
In January, RCBC became the first community college in the region to offer junior-year courses, which allows students to save $75,000 while earning a bachelor’s degree from Rowan University. Since debuting in January, more than 400 students have committed to the program while another 400 students are interested in it.
