Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Allen Iverson is bringing the Allen Iverson Celebrity Summer Classic back to Philly. The charity event will take place on Aug. 4-5.
The Classic will start with a gala at the Sheraton Society Hill. Proceeds from the night will benefit the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia (PAL). Then at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 5, Iverson will host a celebrity basketball game at Temple’s Liacouras Center. Hip-hop artist Pusha T, producer and Chester native Jahlil Beats, and WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia have already been confirmed for the game. A portion of the proceeds from the game will also benefit PAL and the iChooseLife Foundation.
