Queen Bey surprised fans Saturday with the release of a new song and video, “Formation.” The next day, she performed the song, live, during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show with Coldplay and Bruno Mars. Following the performance, fans were treated to an ad announcing the Beyoncé Formation Tour 2016.

“Formation” is the first song the pop star has released since her 2014 “Beyoncé: Platinum Edition.” The song, produced by Mike Will Made It, contains catchy lyrics like, “You that bitch when you cause all this conversation,” “I twirl on them haters” and "I got hot sauce in my bag.” The song is available to stream and download for free exclusively on Tidal, the streaming service which she co-owns with Jay Z, Rihanna, Madonna and others.

After its release, the producer Tweeted: "Always wanted to work with Beyoncé and after working with her I respect her on even more levels than I knew she was on... Real ARTist Fr."

The video, which features a cameo of Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy, dancing with a group of young girls, was filmed, at least partially, in New Orleans and the song features the vocals of New Orleans bounce music stars Messy Mya and Big Freedia.
